Introduction

Hi !!

I am the creator of this world, fondly known as The Scribbler.

Simple Scribbles was originally to be a place where I can post my musings and works. How it went from that to an open platform for Scribblers, I cannot say. But I am not complaining !!

I remember my Principal always talking about a Thinking Cap and Chair. She wanted us to create a "Thinking Chair", a comfy space where we could ponder. And an imaginary "Thinking Cap". We ought to put that on whenever we wished to brainstorm and sit on our "Chairs" for at least 30 minutes daily.

It was a mesmerizing concept to little me. And I took to it immediately. Granted, I may not have been consistent, but I owe all my current imaginative state to my "Thinking Chair".

That is a concept I hope all the Scribblers out there try to incorporate in their lives. Instead of a "Thinking Chair", have a "Scribble Journal". And as a substitute for the Cap, use anything you like. A "Scribble Pen" would work too. Find a spot where you feel peaceful. Sit, and scribble.

I mean it. If all you do is doodle meaningless squiggles for 30 minutes, that's completely okay !!

My "Scribble Journal" is filled with doodles and thoughts and random ideas scattered here and there. The Pen is so chewed on, I fear for my teeth. (Do you think pen caps are toxic ??)

Whenever an idea strikes you, jot it down in your Journal (or the nearest place you can). Then, run like the wind here and post it. Share it with the world, get a set of fresh eyes on the case. This will help build your confidence and also give you some food for thought. I'll personally try and comment on your work.

After the initial hubbub has died down, develop your baby. You've created it, now give it time, space (and a lot of words) to grow. Pretty soon, you'll have a story fit for the stars !!

Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy ??

If not, and you are intimidated by this thought, that's fine too. We are all humans, after all. It's natural to be apprehensive. But in that case, drop me a mail and I'll reach out to you. It would be on fun conversation, because as I said, I'm bursting to talk at the seams.

Not comfortable ?? No worries, mi amigo !!

Jot till you drop. Write, write and then write some more. You'll see a tale spinning out before your very eyes :)

I kept this one short and simple, because I have a few thoughts to delve into.

And remember, though I do post quite a bit here, all my stories are available on my Wattpad account, the link for which I've provided. I'm thinking of opening an AO3 and Fanfiction account too, but that's a theory in the works.
